Qualified Integrated Design Process (IDP) Facilitators
Whether you’re planning a retrofit, custom home, or multi-unit development, early-stage planning is critical to project success—and a qualified IDP facilitator can help make the process more effective, efficient, and collaborative.
The IDP is a structured, team-based approach to building design, renovation, and construction. Increasingly recognized by program providers across Canada, IDP is quickly becoming an essential practice for Part 9 residential projects—from single-family homes to large-scale developments and deep energy retrofits.
Led by one of the qualified IDP facilitators noted below, the process emphasizes a “house-as-a-system” mindset and encourages early engagement of key players—builders, renovators, contractors, multiple trades, and homeowners—before permits are issued or work begins. This collaborative and proactive approach fosters innovation, improves performance outcomes, reduces frustrations, and can lead to cost and time savings.
