Founding Members
The idea of CACEA was the result of a dedicated group of volunteer Energy Advisors (EAs) in response to the introduction of the BC Energy Step Code. What was first seen as a regional necessity quickly revealed a more national need—EAs across Canada were facing similar challenges and concerns that needed a collective voice.
As the industry evolved and the demand for EA expertise grew, so did the call for a national organization to support, connect, and advocate for the sector across the country. In 2017, the Canadian Association of Consulting Energy Advisors (CACEA) was officially registered as a non-profit association under the BC Society Act, and a national board of directors was formed.
We extend our deepest thanks to the founding members whose vision, leadership, and commitment laid the foundation for a strong and united EA community.
